I'm planning a couple of trips and want you all to tell me what one thing there is about your state that is an absolute must thing to see while i'm there. Then I can plan my trip. Cheers to you all who help me in this. |

| The best place to visit in Alabama is the coast. We have a small one but it is gorgeous with sugar white sand and plenty of sun in the summer! I prefer Gulf Shores. It is not too "touristy" and yet it has plenty to do. Be sure to check out the town of Foley on your way down there. It has lots of shopping and a restaurant where they throw rolls to you, Lambert's. It is wonderful and the food is good southern cooking....and plenty of it. Check out our official website at www.alabama.travel It will give you even more ideas about our great state! Hurry up and come on down!! |

The best attraction of my home state is the fact that I'm in it LOL j/k
Seriously, if you enjoy history .. then Boston has PLENTY of it. From the Freedom Trail (on which Paul Revere made his famous ride) to the Old North Church (One if by land, Two if by sea), to Bunker Hill. There's also the site of the Boston Tea Party, on Boston's historic waterfront.
For shopping .... there's Downtown Crossing or Faneuil Hall & Quincy Market. Boston's Public Garden is a great place to go & relax, you could even take a ride on the Swan Boats.
A few miles north, you have Salem (where the witch trials took place), and Gloucester & Rockport (famous for it's fishing & shopping).
If you should happen to come in the Fall .... the foliage is some of the best in the country!
And who could forget Fenway Park .... the home of the BEST baseball team ....The Boston Red Sox! _________________
